Greetings fellow birders and photographers
Finally some much needed rain. May was a pretty busy month being the height of spring migration. Fran and I made several trips down the shore (Cape May County), and also visited; Peace Valley, Pennypack Trust, John Heinz, Bombay Hook and spent 5 days in and around Magee Marsh in northwest Ohio. Magee Marsh, often dubbed the Warbler Capital of the world, held far fewer birds than in the previous 3 years. There were a few of this and a few of that but not the big numbers and variety of species as in the past. We really had to work hard to get what we did. May was a busy month for other projects and I did not have time to process/edit all the images I took at Magee. Some are included in this months gallery and the rest will be presented next month. I hope it was a productive month for everyone. To view the images as a slideshow with music (if you're using a mobile device you will probably not be able to hear the music) hit the SLIDESHOW tab in the upper right. Thanks and enjoy the images. Harris! ALL of these photos show such energy, such emotion! i find it hard to pick out a favorite, but the ones with the woodpeckers were wonderful….but so were the all the birds doing something, like the wilson's and the orioles. i can't decide….
you may have had to work hard for the Magee warblers, but the results were terrific. looking forward to next month's work that will have more of the warblers i so rarely get to see.
The guestbook is empty.
