Greetings Fellow Birders and Photographers:
Happy New Year to everyone. Fran and I made our usual rounds to all the local nature centers and a week in Maine, but the bulk of our time was spent along the beaches of New Jersey. It's a tough job I know, but somebody has to do it, right? As you can see, shorebirds are my favorite subject matter, along with ducks. Hit the SLIDESHOW tab in the upper right to view the images as a slideshow with music.
Let me know what you think-see you on the trails.

Great collection of images Harris! Love all the birds, but especially the Tricolored Heron and Semi-Palmated Plovers! Excellent shot of the Hooded Merganser as well, and the Eastern Chipmunk is adorable. The shot of the Portland Head Lighthouse is impressive as well! Really enjoyed viewing your images!
good to see you both yesterday! we ended up finding a common goldeneye but little else of significance the rest of the day. pretty day though the winds picked up after lunch.
as for these shots: ooo lah lah. my favorite is the TriColored shot, and i adore the Jordan Pond shot as well. the latter made me jealous indeed.
be well.
