Greetings Fellow Birders and Photographers:
As some of you know, I'm an avid bird photographer. Lately I've run into some pretty rude and uncooperative subjects. They turn their heads/bodies away from me the moment I hit the shutter, leaving me a view from the business end. I have quite a collection of "butt shots". I thought it might be fun (and a challenge) to figure out what bird it is from a non-traditional view. So here's how we play this game. This slideshow contains 100 slides of 50 different birds. Each slide will remain on the screen for 4 seconds. The first slide shows the bird with the face/body hidden or obscured. The second slide shows a proper image with the correct identification. The first 6 birds are familiar birds and used as a confidence builder. All of the birds are common along the east coast of the US at some time of the year. Hit the SLIDESHOW tab in the upper right to begin. There is no music for this show so you can concentrate on the images. The quiz is 7 minutes. Let's see how good you are. Please let me know what you think-the good, the bad and the ugly.
Have fun and Happy Birding.
