Greetings fellow Birders and Photographers. Fall migration is on and a great opportunity to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather and do some birding. Below is the link to my August gallery of images. I hit my usual hotspots; Pennypack Trust, Peace Valley and Cape May County. Fran and I spent 4 days in Ohio along Lake Erie looking for shorebirds. We were in a shallow lagoon on the beach, wearing our waders. Things were pretty slow most of the morning, when all of a sudden a Red-necked Phalarope fell out of the sky and danced around in front of us for 15 minutes-a great opportunity and a "lifer" for us. We were also able to get wonderful shots of a male Indigo Bunting-one of my nemesis birds (the others being Pileated Woodpecker and Kestrel. Snowy Owl was on the list but I got nice shots last winter). Click on the link below to get to the August gallery page, then hit the SLIDESHOW tab in the upper right to view the images as a slide show with music. As always, all the images are copyright by me, Harris Brown, and may not be used for any purpose without written permission.
Thanks and enjoy.
