AUGUST TURNED OUT TO BE A PRETTY GOOD MONTH FOR PHOTOGRAPHY. THE HIGHLIGHT BEING A FEW DAYS IN OHIO, ALONG THE SHORES OF LAKE ERIE. AFTER CROSSING THE LAKE HEADING SOUTH, THE SHOREBIRDS TEND TO REST FOR A DAY OR TWO ALONG THE SHORES AND SMALL LAGOONS OF LAKE ERIE. i SPENT 4 DAYS IN ONE OF THESE LAGOONS AND WAS ABLE TO GET NICE SHOTS OF AMERICAN AVOCETS AND SEVERAL OTHER SPECIES. TO VIEW THE IMAGES AS A SLIDESHOW WITH MUSIC, CLICK ON THE SLIDESHOW TAB IN THE UPPER RIGHT. ALL IMAGES ARE COPYRIGHT BY HARRIS BROWN AND MAY NOT BE USED FOR ANY REASON WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION.
THANKS AND ENJOY

harris, bravo! and congrats on your recent retirement...i am drooling!

by the way, the osprey caption read "osprey and fish". with all due respect, it was really half a fish!!!

kidding aside, wonderful stuff. and the music was superb..made me dance in my seat. who was the guitarist on the long pieces?

hope to see you soon on a saturday.

Thanks for that last photo of you in the waders. I was wondering how you got those eye level shots. All of the photos are really great. Thanks for showing them.

Beautiful. I would be ecstatic if I could get even one picture half as good. I especially like the ones that show activity, such as feeding, bathing, stretching, and those with the reflections. I'm amazed at the clarity of the details such as the reflections in the eyes. Absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing.
