DESPITE THE VERY HOT WEATHER, AUGUST TURNED OUT TO BE A PRETTY GOOD MONTH. I MADE MY USUAL ROUNDS ON MY USUAL TRAILS AT PENNYPACK TRUST AND PEACE VALLEY AND FOUND MY USUAL SUSPECTS. I ALSO SPENT A FEW DAYS WALKING THE BEACHES IN STONE HARBOR AND CAPE MAY IN SEARCH OF SHOREBIRDS-I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. NOTHING EXOTIC, BUT SOME COOL MORNINGS, NICE LIGHT AND SOME FAIRLY COOPERATIVE BIRDS LED TO SOME WELCOME PHOTO OPPS. AS USUAL, CLICK ON THE SLIDESHOW TAB IN THE UPPER RIGHT TO VIEW THE IMAGES AS A SLIDESHOW WITH MUSIC. ALL IMAGES ARE COPYRIGHT BY HARRIS BROWN AND MAY NOT BE USED FOR ANY PURPOSE WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION. THANKS AND ENJOY

nice work again, harris. nice to see you cooling off in the water, also. it is great that you can be comfortable in that position...young man!

i had heard rumors you and some other birders i know fell in together and got some rarities near the shore recently. like maybe the brig, i dont remember. is that rumor true? if so, what did you see and what photos (if so) did you get?
